Who are you? 

  • You are an authentic, resilient, humble and dynamic professional with an in-depth understanding of the culture and customs in Bolivia. 
  • You are eager to navigate diverse development opportunities within Bolivia. 
  • You have proven experience as a people manager in building, motivating and managing international and commercial teams. 
  • You have strong intercultural sensitivity. 
  • You have excellent command of the English and Spanish language.  
  • You are comfortable with digital tools, including Microsoft Office 365. 

  

Being a PUM Country Coordinator 

As a staff volunteer at PUM, your role as a country coordinator is pivotal. You’re not merely coordinating; you’re orchestrating positive change. By implementing PUM’s strategy in Bolivia, you spearhead impactful projects that contribute to sustainable growth in SMEs. 

What being a country coordinator will look like? You’ll be actively engaged with PUM, averaging two to three days a week, often spread across multiple days. This includes regularly checking and responding to emails, addressing any urgent matters that may arise. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Implementing PUM’s strategy and policies in Bolivia. 
  • Crafting and executing the Country Impact Plan for Bolivia. 
  • Providing guidance and leadership to your country team. 
  • Building and managing an effective team of representatives in your region. 
  • Cultivating fruitful relationships with PUM clients and networking with external stakeholders to fortify ecosystems around PUM clients. 
  • Ensuring strong working relationships with sectors, other PUM countries, and internal PUM departments. 


Ins and outs of the Country Coordinator role 

The country coordinator role is a volunteer position with a small expense allowance. We prefer individuals committed for up to 4 years. Prescreening is part of the selection process. Anticipate traveling to Bolivia two to three times a year. At PUM, we celebrate diversity and inclusion as essential pillars of our organization.
