Director of the Extracurricular Vocational Training Centre CFPP-IRETI N'LA in Parakou, Benin

As a result of the improved solar panel course, including the new educational materials, we are confident that more students will register. This will provide us with more income to invest in our own building in the future. Last but not least, a larger number of educated solar specialists will graduate from our  ‘Installation and Maintenance of Photovoltaic Panels’ course. This will have a postive impact on the entire population of Benin, in social, economic, and ecological fields.

Investing in sustainable growth

Applications for the Hans Blankert Fund must be submitted through a PUM expert. The expert assesses whether partial funding is feasible and proceeds accordingly. If the SME or business ecosystem meets all criteria and the grant is approved, the PUM expert oversees the implementation of the investment. Whenever feasible, the fund promotes local procurement.

The overall aim of a grant from the Hans Blankert Fund is to contribute to the sustainable development of companies and business ecosystems. This means that the intended investment should improve performance while generating positive ecological and social impact within the community. This may include enhancing working conditions and staff safety, promoting environmental sustainability, supporting female employment, and combating child labour.
