Institutions & NGOs

Institutions

As an institutional partner, you work at the intersection of policy and practice, shaping inclusive economic development from the ground up. Through collaboration with PUM, you gain practical expertise and access to local entrepreneurial networks. Together, we can empower ambitious entrepreneurs, and address climate and migration challenges, and contribute to a better future for entire communities, socially, ecologically and economically.

PUM’s main institutional partner is the Sustainable Economic Development Department (DDE) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Together, we promote self-sufficiency, entrepreneurship, and job creation through the sustainable growth of SMEs, business support organisations, and cooperatives in emerging markets.

NGOs

As an international NGO, you can strengthen your programmes and enhance local business ecosystems through a partnership with PUM. We actively pursue joint proposal writing with international NGOs, contribute our expertise to existing programmes, and work to scale successful interventions to additional areas and countries. These collaborations bring targeted, hands-on support to entrepreneurs and entire ecosystems, closely aligned with your programme goals and local networks.

PUM currently works with international NGOs including Agriterra, SNV and Solidaridad.

Centres of Excellence in India & PUM – Strengthening agriculture

In India, PUM partners with the Dutch Ministry of Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, the Embassy of the Netherlands in New Delhi, and the Indian Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture. Together, they work to establish Centres of Excellence in the agriculture and horticulture sectors. These centres serve as hubs for promoting best practices, enhancing productivity, and supporting sustainable development. PUM shares expertise on how to set up and structure the centres, and collaborates with local stakeholders to design effective interventions. Various PUM experts work directly with farmers and agribusinesses on projects aimed at improving yields and expanding market access.
