Who are you?

• You are a strategic, hands-on management consultant with analytical insight and the ability to translate complex issues into practical plans.

• Ideally, you have expertise in:

  • Business analysis and implementation (pre-SME’s)

  • Change management (Boardroom en senior management)

  • Working at a strategic level in various sectors/countries (Africa is a pre)

  • Training and development (Boardroom en senior management)

• You are familiar with artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools.

• You have good command of English, French and/or Spanish (spoken and written).

• You are a natural advisor and sparring partner, enjoy coaching others and supporting teams in various contexts.

• You are passionate about knowledge development, continuously improving your own expertise, and sharing it with colleagues and clients.

• You are authentic, resilient, modest, and dynamic, and able to address cultural differences with equality and respect.

Being a PUM expert

As a volunteer at PUM, you play a key role in sharing your expertise and experience. You’re not just an expert; you’re a game-changer. By sharing your knowledge, you’re powering the sustainable growth of SMEs in countries worldwide. 

What being an expert will look like? You will handle one or two projects remotely each year, for example via Microsoft Teams. You’ll also spend two weeks on-site with the client. PUM covers your flight and visa, and the client takes care of your stay and local transportation. You will also receive an expense allowance. As our expert, you’re not just sharing knowledge, you’re:

• Empowering entrepreneurs, co-piloting their journey toward sustainable and inclusive business development.

• Leaving a lasting impact on the community: socially, environmentally, and economically.

• Turning your knowledge into a hands-on project plan.

• Expanding your horizons at sector days and building a network that’s as diverse as it gets.

Ins and outs of the expert role

The expert role is a volunteer position, open to applicants up to 68 years. PUM works with experts who are registered and living in the Netherlands, have Dutch nationality, and primary healthcare insurance. Prescreening (VOG) is part of the selection process.
