PUM and IDH launch strategic partnership

PUM and IDH are proud to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at creating economic, social, and environmental impact in the global agri-food sector. The collaboration was formally sealed on 2 July 2025 by Daan Wensing, CEO of IDH, and Ariette Brouwer, CEO of PUM.

The partnership brings together the complementary strengths of both organisations. PUM leverages the expertise of its network of experts to collaborate with ambitious entrepreneurs in emerging markets. IDH convenes public and private stakeholders to drive systemic change in agricultural value chains. Together, they aim to accelerate the transition towards stronger businesses, better livelihoods, and more sustainable and inclusive food systems.

First joint project in  Ghana

The first project under this new partnership will take place in Ghana’s horticulture sector. Here, PUM and IDH will collaborate with selected SMEs to improve farming practices, strengthen access to finance, and unlock new market opportunities.

Scaling impact  worldwide

While Ghana marks the starting point, both organisations see this collaboration as the beginning of a broader agenda. Future initiatives are expected to expand into other regions, amplifying real impact on the ground while strengthening  food value chains for the future.
