Following some recent and upcoming changes, PUM’s Supervisory Board is entering a period of renewal. PUM expresses its sincere appreciation to the departing Chair and members and warmly welcomes their successors. The organisation looks forward to their fresh, active and inspiring contributions.
Ingrid Thijssen
On 1 March 2026, Ingrid Thijssen will step down as President of VNO-NCW, the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers, a position she has held since 2020. She has been appointed Chair of the Executive Board of TU Delft as of the same date. As President of VNO-NCW, she also serves as Chair of PUM’s Supervisory Board and will therefore step down from this role. PUM congratulates Ingrid Thijssen on her appointment to this new position at one of the Netherlands’ leading academic institutions and wishes her continued inspiration and every success in this new role. PUM is deeply grateful for Ingrid Thijssen’s guidance in a rapidly changing world. She consistently supported PUM’s mission and strategic direction, focusing on positive impact in the countries where PUM operates and recognising PUM experts as the soul of the organisation.
Ingrid will be succeeded once a new President of VNO-NCW has been appointed. In the interim, Jacco Vonhoff will assume the role of Chair of PUM’s Supervisory Board.
Rob Wolleswinkel succeeded by Jaap Kerstjens
At the end of 2025, Rob Wolleswinkel completed his eight-year term as a member on PUM’s Supervisory Board. PUM is grateful for his valuable contribution, drawing on his extensive experience in management consultancy. After a long career at Boston Consulting Group, Rob made a notable career change in 2023, training as a pilot with Zeusch Aviation. He also became co-CEO and CTO of Elysian Aircraft, where he is involved in the development of a battery-electric aircraft.
Rob has been succeeded by Jaap Kerstjens as of 1 December 2025. Jaap brings extensive experience in strategy consulting within and beyond the healthcare sector, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
Raymond Puts succeeded by Lisette van Breugel
After three years, Raymond Puts stepped down as a member of the PUM Supervisory Board. PUM thanks him for his people- and purpose-driven approach and for the broad experience he brought to the Board, particularly in guiding organisations through dynamic environments, mergers and cultural integration. Raymond has been Managing Director of AWVN until 1 April 2025. He now is CEO of OTTO Work Force.
Raymond has been succeeded by Lisette van Breugel as of 1 February 2026. Lisette brings extensive executive experience. For more than twelve years, she led Arbo Unie, building the organisation into a leading provider of occupational health services in the Netherlands. Since 1 November 2025, she has been Managing Director of AWVN (the General Employers’ Association of the Netherlands), representing employers in labour market and employment relations matters.
Coen van Haeringen to be succeeded by Ton Voortman
Coen van Haeringen will step down from the Supervisory Board as of 1 April 2026 after eight years of dedicated contribution. He has been closely involved with PUM for many years, first as a volunteer and in particular as country manager for Palestinian Territories, Jordan and Lebanon. PUM thanks him for his long-standing commitment and the enthusiasm with which he has supported the organisation.
Coen will be succeeded by Ton Voortman who has long been connected to PUM, most recently as Sector Manager for Business Support Organisations and Social Dialogue. Through his advisory practice, he supports entrepreneurs and local authorities in strategic development, business planning and economic policy. Ton has been interim-Director of PUM in 2021-2022. Having reached the volunteer retirement age at PUM, he now joins the Supervisory Board. Like Jaap Kerstjens, Ton will also serve on the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board.
Thank you and welcome
PUM sincerely thanks all members who are stepping down for their commitment and dedication to the Supervisory Board and wishes them every success in their new chapters.
PUM warmly welcomes the new members to its Supervisory Board and looks forward to working with them in the years ahead. Their guidance and expertise will be instrumental as we continue building a future-proof organisation.
