Associations, Education & Social Dialogue

This programme complements PUM’s direct collaboration with ambitious entrepreneurs by focusing on the wider business environment. It strengthens the institutions and systems that connect employers, employees, educators and policymakers. By fostering strong associations, trust-based social dialogue and relevant skills development, the programme contributes to fair labour relations, employment opportunities and sustainable economic development, particularly in the challenging environments where our clients operate.

Associations – stronger institutions and businesses

Strong institutions are key to a well-functioning business environment. PUM collaborates with business support organisations such as chambers of commerce, employers’ associations, sector federations and cooperatives to strengthen governance, service delivery and member engagement.

By reinforcing these associations, entrepreneurs gain better access to knowledge, networks and representation. This contributes to improved business climates and stronger connections between companies, policymakers and education providers.

Education – skills for the future

A skilled and adaptable workforce is essential for sustainable economic development. PUM collaborates with vocational and academic institutions to align education with labour market demand, with particular attention to youth employment and entrepreneurship.

Support includes curriculum development, strengthening school management and quality assurance, and train-the-trainer approaches. By fostering partnerships between education providers and industry, the programme contributes to a future-ready workforce equipped with relevant skills.

Social dialogue – trust and resilience

Constructive social dialogue plays a central role in creating balanced and resilient labour markets. PUM works with employers’ organisations, trade unions and public authorities to promote sound relations, reinforce trust-based dialogue and strengthen collective problem-solving.

Activities focus on facilitating stakeholder engagement, clarifying shared interests and supporting structured dialogue processes. This contributes to improved working conditions, transparent labour relations and a more predictable and stable business environment.

Strengthening  business foundations

The programme also includes experts with extensive experience in general strategy and business planning areas. They collaborate with entrepreneurs and organisations to strengthen management, marketing, finance and operations. By combining technical expertise with general business support, PUM contributes to sustainable growth and resilient organisations.
