New Chair and Vice-Chair of PUM's Supervisory Board

Following the Supervisory Board changes announced earlier this year, PUM now confirms the appointment of its new Chair and Vice-Chair. PUM expresses its sincere appreciation to Ingrid Thijssen and Jacco Vonhof for their commitment and dedication, and warmly welcomes Coen van Oostrom and Marijke Vuik. PUM looks forward to working with them in the years ahead, as their guidance and expertise will support the continued development of a future-proof organisation.

Ingrid Thijssen succeeded by Coen van Oostrom

On 1 March 2026, Ingrid Thijssen stepped down as President of VNO-NCW, the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers, a position she had held since 2020, to become Chair of the Executive Board of TU Delft. As President of VNO-NCW, she served as Chair of PUM’s Supervisory Board and therefore stepped down from this role accordingly. PUM congratulates Ingrid Thijssen on her new appointment and wishes her continued inspiration and every success in this new role. PUM is deeply grateful for her guidance in a rapidly changing world. She consistently supported PUM’s mission and strategic direction, focusing on positive impact and recognising PUM experts as the soul of the organisation.

Until 1 May 2026, Jacco Vonhof served as interim Chair of PUM’s Supervisory Board. As of that date, Coen van Oostrom, the newly appointed President of VNO-NCW, assumes this role. Coen van Oostrom is an entrepreneur and former Executive Chairman of EDGE (formerly OVG Real Estate). With his appointment, VNO-NCW, and therefore PUM, gains an experienced business leader with a strong international network and a clear focus on strengthening the investment climate and representing the interests of the Dutch business community.

Jacco Vonhof succeeded by Marijke Vuik

Jacco Vonhof has stepped down as Chair of MKB-Nederland, the Dutch SME Employers’ Association, in June 2026, after nearly eight years in the role. A true entrepreneur at heart, he has consistently stood for renewal, acceleration and connection; values he also brought to his role as Vice-Chair within PUM’s Supervisory Board. PUM is grateful for Jacco Vonhof’s valuable contribution over the past years and wishes him every success in his new chapters.

Jacco is succeeded by Marijke Vuik, an entrepreneur and former Chair of Royal Horeca Netherlands. She has taken up the position as of 1 July 2026. Her appointment brings a driven and experienced leader into the role, with a strong commitment to strengthening the business climate and making entrepreneurship and employment within the SME sector more attractive.
